Most inspections take between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the size and layout of your property. Larger or more complex homes can take up to two hours.

Do I need to prepare my home before the visit?

Yes, please close all windows and doors, run your heating or cooling for at least 30 minutes beforehand, and ensure we can access all rooms. This creates clear temperature differences for more accurate readings.

Can you identify moisture or leaks?

Yes. Our thermal cameras reveal temperature differences caused by moisture behind walls or ceilings, allowing us to detect leaks, dampness, or faulty waterproofing. If you choose the Moisture Detection Add-On, these findings will be fully documented.

Will you fix the problems you find?

We focus on detection, not repairs. However, your report includes clear recommendations and estimated savings for each issue, making it easy to prioritise what to fix. Many clients pass the report directly to their tradesperson.

How accurate are the energy-saving estimates?

We calculate savings using standard Australian energy rates and realistic assumptions about thermal loss. Actual results vary, but clients typically notice a noticeable improvement in comfort and measurable reduction in bills after implementing recommendations.

What other problems might a thermal inspection uncover?

Beyond energy inefficiencies, our thermal cameras can detect overheating electrical wiring, overloaded circuits, insect or rodent nests, hidden structural voids, or damage caused by termites and ants. We occasionally identify blocked ventilation, poor airflow in ceiling cavities, or hot-spots around appliances that may indicate a developing electrical issue. While we don’t perform electrical repairs or pest control, these early detections help homeowners act before problems escalate.

Is thermal imaging safe for people and pets?

Completely. Our cameras detect infrared radiation (heat) passively, meaning no beams, emissions, or harmful effects. You, your pets, and your home are perfectly safe during the scan.

How soon will I receive my report?

Reports are typically delivered by email within 48 hours of your appointment. Each report includes thermal photos, findings, energy-saving estimates, and recommendations prioritised by impact and cost-effectiveness.
